richwesthorpe1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Tyre changing

Regarding the new regs if a car gets a puncture during the race must the
team change just the punctured wheel or can they change all four. If its only
the one surely this will affect the balance of the car. ie three well worn tyres
and one brand new.

DKGandBH has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
The changed tyre won't be new will it ?
It will be one from the allotment for testing...

brings a thought...if a puncture happens at the first corner, a replacement (used) tyre will have to last much more than a full race distance...

They can only change the problem tyre. The new tyre won't be brand new it will be a used set from practice. I guess it is a small disadvantage for having to change.

In the '80s teams used to often run with different compound tyres on different corners. They sued to put harder wearing compound on the corner that took more load.

For full explanation the sporting regs can be found on the FIA site: http://www.fia.com/resources/documen...ulations_a.pdf

Last weeks Autosport also ran a decent summary. Although the new one is out tomorrow.
