Ellmau should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
He's not, but somehow he always manages to get a seat with BMW at Macau.

Cross out two.

Rydell won't drive with SEAT - they're not on that great terms.

Plato won't be drafted in to help Yvan win the title any more than Yvan hasn't been drafted in this weekend for Thruxton, even though he's 1,000 times the better choice than Coronel.

Terting maybe, but won't be much help.

Couto's turned up driving for someone every season, it may be for SEAT again, or will it be Alfa? Money will tell.

Hazard should be qualifying in the top 3 on the gridHazard should be qualifying in the top 3 on the gridHazard should be qualifying in the top 3 on the grid
Released today:

WeightDrivers
60kgPriaulx, Y Muller, Farfus, Thompson, J Müller, Larini, Tarquini, Huff
55kgMenu, Gené
15kgMonteiro, Porteiro
10kgCoronel, Zanardi, Huisman, Engstler, Romanov
5kgRangoni

Interesting to note, Larini is still a title contender - if he wins both races he'll tie with Yvan & Andy on points, but would take the championship on countback as he has more 4th places! (Andy and Nicola would tie on 4 wins, 4 second places, and 1 third each).

Of course, there's better odds of winning the lottery than that happening!

Maybe. TBH, I'd have had him down as a prime candidate for the ETC cup.

A Macau draft with that level of competition would be a little tough, especially without circuit knowledge.

I think SEAT have all the drivers they need to be fair...all the could do with are a few more diesel powered ones.

Why does Priaulx carry max ballast? Given that he didn't finish either Monza race I thought that would mean that he gets a weight drop?

So its worked out by championship order not last race order?

I was certain that it worked like that, or is that for BTCC?

BTCC goes purely on championship standings for ballast used through Saturday and Race 1, race positions determine Race 2 & 3 ballasts.

WTCC I'm sure uses both race and championship positions.

Certainly not the worst driver they could have signed

I wonder if there will be an additional TDI for Rydell/Monteiro?

I'm a little surprised they went with Rydell, I thought they weren't on best terms. I suppose with Plato effectively out of action there wasn't many more options.

Just a guess here, but I assume he will be using the same car that Coronel used at Thruxton. As I recall it was a newly built shell and in WTCC blue livery rather than BTCC silver.
