Agreed though, would be nice to see Mat Jackson or WSR/RAC/Aviva but suspect it's down to lack of budget.

Are they allowed to race? I think a driver had to take part in at least 50% of their national championship, or, if there is'nt one in the drivers country, in the privateer-WTCC. Both Collard and Smith do not meet these demands.

I heard Rob Collard tell someone today during the pitlane walkabout that he is try to put a deal together to run a GR Asia car at this event.

Those cars have to be the hot ticket again... last year's dominance by Ryan Sharp and Emmett O'Brien looks likely to be repeated, if they have good pedallers aboard...

Those cars must be good, since they are able to fight for points in the WTCC.

In the article on touringcartimes.com, the press-realease of the Fia claims that the races will be 50km and 25 laps long. But the Adria raceway is 2,7km long, so there is a mistake somewhere, they are probably wrong with the lapcount.

Isn't 50% rule about Nations Cup?

There are 2 champions, Nykjaer and Cremonesi (ITCC)
Campanico is still able to win the PTCC, and I'm not sure about the russian series. I think Lvov (The Honda Lvov) leads there.

Since s1600 is not a part of FIA event yet, organizers can't put them in official entry list on the web-site. Super 1600 will be run this year as Yokohama Trophy.

Obviously Ryan Sharp and Emmet O´Brien was more strong, but I don´t rate weak Michel Nykjaer and Maurizio Ceresoli couple. In my opinion ETCC entry list is this year more weak, so Nykjaer and Ceresoli have big chances to repeat title for GR Asia.

What car would be best for the Adria-circuit? With lot's of accelerating out of slow corners, it's hard to say. BMW's are a bit heavier, but they do have better traction than the front-wheeldrive opposition. Aerodynamics aren't that important, since the straights are quite short.
