Were did you read she is in the race for a factory drive?

Every season Mercedes gives drivers the change to test in their DTM cars. For example Jaap van Lagen has also tested for Mucke (and Comtec; coincidence?), but without money I give Van Lagen no chance in competing in DTM.

There's only 1 factory Mercedes team (HWA, 4 cars). Mucke and Persson are private teams, but I have to admit I think there are no teams which are 100% independant.

I guess Comtec would lose "face" if they allowed MB to buy out her contract? OTOH, for a private team, surely they'll get a good infusion of cash to run another driver?

Borja Garcia has now lost his GP2 chances, could he push hard to get the the money for Midland DTM?

A shame if he doesn´t get a racing program for 2006.

Good news for Vanina to have a full-time, high profile drive. Having a two-year-old car won't help, but it would be nice to think she could be quick enough to impress Audi for the future. Perhaps some outings in an R10 in the next couple of years might be on the cards.

That is exciting news that we will still see '04 cars on the grid. So finally the long promise of encouraging independents to race via selling cheap older cars has come true?

So are these 2 cars going to bring up the grid count or have we been expecting these '04 cars previously in our grid count list?

The expections are/were 4x06 4x05 and 2x04 for each manufacturer.

Kolles=Midland, the last Mercedes team has still not been announced it could be BS Engineering or Phoenix.
