Falcon v8 is to finish
I see Ford are to delete the V8 option from the sedan & wagons before years end.......

only partly true Peter.
Ford are dropping the 3v V8 (220kw) as it is no longer in production. They will continue with the 4V V8 (260KW+) which is found in the XR8 and GT models. But they will no longer provide a v8 option onthe XT model |

Interesting Peter. There is no mention of this in the news / google. How reliable is the info?

who wants a v8 in an XT anyway ?? if you are going to get a Falcon V8, you get a XR8.
If it wasnt for the fleet and govt buyers actually wanting the XT, it would have got the backside anyway.. the XR range is the car that appeals to the public masses.. I almost think that Ford should drop the XT and just run with the XR style across the whole range. |
