Is 1996 the lost year of the ATCC

Publishing 101 has announced that it will release 'V8 Supercars the first decade' covering 1997-2006 in october and with AMRY published for the last time in 1995. As far as I know there is no published record of the year, I could be wrong does anyone know if anything ???. 1996 seems to have dropped of the face of the earth from a historical record point of view.

I just think it's a real pity as 1996 was such a stunning year in terms of what Lowndes achieved

00 XR8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
In early 1997, Chevron published a "10 Years of the Shell Australian Touring Car Championship" magazine, which covered 1987 to 1996, so this new publication actually sounds like a good continuation of that.

However, considering that the AMRY books stopped in 1995, and the annual Chevron ATCC review magazines were published in 1997, 1998 and 1999, you could say that 1996 is already a bit of a lost year..........

The Channel Seven / Chevron review is quite good.

I have "The Great Race" from 1996, it provides a fairly good wrap-up of the ATCC and the Bathurst 1000.
