Whats the latest date that a reserve can be brought forward in the event of a team dropping out? It must be getting pretty close.

(unless your an EE, that is)

For me, it was a shame he wasn't delayed a little bit longer, would've made it a cracking end to the race! But they deserved it, of course.

I really think that the ACO should look into having a GT3 class at Le Mans.

It also baffles me that the most competitive class, with factory support from the world's leading sports car manufacturers, is also the slowest, and last class, in GT2.

Simple, if you ask me, particularly with so many teams in GT3 now, with its huge diversity in vehicles and how close they are to their road-going couterparts.

And if they did it, take the ruddy silencers off them!

Is anyone brave enough to guess what sort of laptime a GT3 spec car would post at Le Mans?

At Spa this last weekend, the GT2 quickest lap was 2:22:8 (F430) compared to the British GT3 quickest lap of 2:32.1 (Viper), so that's pretty much 10secs a lap.

Would that make them 30secs a lap slower at Le Mans?

Brit GT3's run on Avon control tyres, and they are not the best in the world! The Belgian GT3's run on Michelins and were around 3 - 4 seconds faster, so I guess it wouldn't take much to get the GT3's up to somewhere nearer GT2 times, a bit of weight reduction and a bit more power (and noise).

No, he did not. No mentioning of Silverstone. He said he was going to England for a fotoshoot. Most likely for Philips since that is one of his customers.

Have a look here http://www.ris-timing.be/ look at the timings from Spa for the GT3/4 races and you'll see the fastest times are approx 4 seconds a lap quicker for the Belgian GT's
