Prost Tests the Maserati
A very big scoop for Dailysportscar.com with the news that Four-time F1 World Champion tested the MC12 Maserati GT car at Fiorano yesterday. It was wet, there were no times, but interesting to hear he has been behind the wheel of modern machinery again.

I read this on turbotv.be. It seems Prost did some 50 laps. He was invited by Todt to do this.

This car better perform well when it hits the race track. Its had 10 world drivers champions worth of experiance test it the last two weeks.

Apparently Alain is testing again tommorrow as he wants to get some more laps in, especially in dry conditions. Was there not a rumour last year about Alain and a Ferrari project in Fia Gt?

There has to be more to this than just driving it for fun. That could have been viable if he had tested for just one day, but to run the car for two or maybe three days - there must be more to it. He is either looking for a drive or looking to buy the MC12 to set up his own team.

Well, Autosport reports that ORECA want to run a Maserati. Prost drives in the Trophee Andros for ORECA. A case of joining the dots?
