Camping for Silvertone BTC 8th June 03

Does anybody know whether there will be spectator camping at or near Silverstone for the BTC meeting, on the 8th June?

I have no idea...best to contact the cricuit.

However there is bound to be a fair few people staying at the circuit (mainly marshals) who usually camp on the grass by copse runway.

The camping on the infield is for officials and team personnel only unfortunately - Silverstone does not operate a public campsite at all. There used to be a campsite directly opposite the main gates of the circuit but this was closed last year due to Foot & Mouth and I don't know if it ever re-opened. Give the circuit a call and ask for the phone number for 'Lichlake Farm' and give them a call. Perhaps you could respond here with details of what they say as I'm sure there are a few more people who will be looking to camp that weekend.

Kelvin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Camps site are open, some friends of mine on the MG forum you recently joined Craig are booked in on it.

Siverstone does in fact allow camping for the MG International event orgainised by the MGCC. Its a long standing arrangement, wich several hundred people take advantage of every year!

Just to add I think you have to be a member of the MG Car Club to take advantage of facilities.

Just looked at the site Kelvin and there's an interesting link:

http://www.silverstone-camping.co.uk/

Not much information but it has a map for first time campers
