I believe you're absolutely correct. Road car is the hold up. I as well guess that VLN in the SPX class would see it first, perhaps in conjunction with Super Taikyu in Japan. Outside of that, I'd wager to see Vasser having a go with it first, they very much deserve it. |

So, the Maserati MC20 GT2 takes pole and then gets P2 in its debut in the European GT2 Series; https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/ne...-claim-am-lead. https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/im...sification.pdf
Surely, that car is a good basis for a competitive GT3. How much of a difference is there between GT2 and GT3? |

Judging from last year's results at the N'ring24 (a couple of Mercedes-AMG GT2s raced in the SP-X class), the gap is about 15-25 seconds per lap between GT2 and GT3 cars, so quite significant.

* GT2 pole position at Paul Ricard: 2'03
* GT3 Bronze pole position at Paul Ricard: 1'54 That's a big gap. |

Ouch, I had forgotten about Paul Ricard and its trillion configurations.
