Copy, totally agree! The #1 have been clearly the quicker car all through. I just hate hearing a professional driver being a whiner when everything is not about him. Sportcar racing is a team sport.

Yeah it's still Le Mans and always stuff to enjoy. In truth we've had some pretty poor editions in recent years. These new regs can't come soon enough.

These P1s will be remembered so fondly for their speed but I'd rather see some battles.

I agree. I'd like to think I'd be a team player in this circumstance but it must be equally frustrating to be ordered to shoot yourself in the foot, seemingly without good reason.

There is absolutely no point in Rebellion going 'no risk'. They're out after this race. They should be running gonads-out and if they break, they break and we celebrate the fact that they really tried and they went out in a blaze of glory. Finishing 2nd and 3rd would be laudable, but fighting tooth and nail in case the other Toyota has a problem would be so much better.

Absolutely. They've had a podium at the race before so now they've got an outside chance of a win they need to just go for broke.

When's the last time a privateer was this close to the front with 3 hours left? 2005 with the Pescarolo against the PlayStation Audi R8?

Hopefully the pit stops will put the #1 car in front.

I think last year was closer than we sometimes remember. Silliness and poor luck stopped SMP and Rebellion being in this position in '19.

I think you're correct, Pescarolo in '05 is probably the closest we've been to this (discounting privateer Audis or Pugs).

Pressure on the pitwall and in the cockpit for these small teams must be insane. 2005 was really Pescarolo's to lose, but they never had the air of calm and purpose that the Audis had.

If it makes you feel better, I got a McDonald's breakfast delivered. Got a sausage and egg McMuffin for my girlfriend in case she woke up. I decided after 25 minutes this wasn't going to happen so I ate her's too.

I you had been at lemans, breakfast on sunday is "what have we got left" sometimes bacpn/sausages but always eggs, cheese, baked beans bread past it's best huge amounts of coffee and fruit juice. Then start to clear the campsite and pack the cars ready to make a break for it after the race

But is Menezes thinking about the race long term or what he can se through his own visor?

Either way, the smart decision would be to let him through. But i am not sure Menezes is selling himself very well to other teams right now.
