ETCC = 35 TOTAL

BTCC = 34 TOTAL

And the ETCC still has 3 cars with no drivers, so i dont think the BTC is doing bad in its first year, do you?

Ah, but still plenty of ST entries for the ETCC. I love ST's. Anyway, im sure the ETCC will adopt this years BTCC rules for next year.

I am encouraged

The grids for this years BTCC and ETCC both look pretty good to me.

2002 should be even better as manufacturers see some stability and direction in touring car racing and will commit to SP and ST programs that will lead to bigger fields in both series.

PS- does anyone know how one can get Eurosport in the States so that I can see the FIA Touring and Grand Touring events?

Try getting a disused, old, large satellite dish and hooking it up to your house with an old box. Eurosport isn't encrypted, and this is what i did to get Eurosport before i persuaded my dad to get Sky Digital a couple of years ago. Don't kniow whether it will work in the U.S., though, the signal may not be strong enough. Just a thought, though...

When the MGS arrive later in the year there will be one more entry in the BTCC , pretty impressive for a national series against a European one.
