Dunno - I often receive media releases with an embargo date of Wed and even Thurs on them which turn up in AA and MSN on the stands Wed...

Nah not really - it's like Castrol Motorsport's current media relations - we receive race reviews between 7 and 10 days AFTER the event they relate to - way too late to be of any use other than as filler (for the tomato patch out the back that is...)

Like the "Embargo" on the release of BJR Bowe OZemail Signing and Paint Job etc, earlier this year. It was on 80% of the Web ( And Im not sure but I think AVESCO's Site as well ??) 2 or 3 Days before the Embargo was to end.

There are two things that happem with embargoed news released.
1 - they are received and because the fool that composes them doesn't mark them clearly, they get released straight away - been caught with this myself - CAMS tend to place the words 'Embargoed until xxxxx' on something like line 9 or 10!!!! 2. You notice the Emabrgoed Until xxxxx line, put it aside and them promptly forget about it until the day afterwards anyway (the recent AVESCO release about their awards dinner was formatted like point 1 and I then did point 2!) |

I tried www.prodrive.com.au and was redirected to the FPV website. Under Racing there are pics of Lowndes and #00.

Since Prodrive is a partner in FPV, the redirect should be no surprise at all. Lowndes is Ford's poster boy, but there are plenty of other teams in the Heritage section.
Still, it doesn't discount anything... |

AA and MN didn't seem to make it this far north, how did you guys go in Mexico? Was it our cyclone we had yesterday, or is something under embargo until tomorrow?

AA & MN are here in Sunny Sydney
Prodrive/FPV is alive, with Caltex & CAT backing.... in BA Falcons operating from the current 00 premises... driven by Captain Smiley & the 2002 Caltex driver... while Roddler takes a car to Sydney for someone else to run under the Romano franchise... All in your friendly copy of AA/MN, well some of it anyway

According to Motorsport News, Prodrive will get into 00 Motorsport, who will have two new Barras, with Rodney possibly holding onto an AU run under the franchise formerly known as Romano.

MN doesnt have all the answers, and my understanding is that Mr Forbes refutes everything in the MN article... his assertion apparently was a cobranding/sponsorship arrangement like the famous (or is that infamous) FTR sham... We shall see... doesnt the old saying go something along the lines of whoever makes the most noise is generally the one who passed the wind? |
