Great news. I wish I could have been over, but like EVERYTHING so far this year, I am overseas when it is on.
I hope this site is kept updated over the Doninigton weekend, so at least I can see whats going on.
Lewis will be there too racing in the Caterham academy, so you can all have re-union .
Is there anybody reading this from the USA that can tell me if at all, where I can watch the F1 this weekend from Valencia, I'm down on Marco Island and its a bit sleepy down here. Do any of the regular TV channels cover the race or is it just speed ?
Good luck next weeked chaps !!

Scoring points like penalizations - That system was similar to the one used during AIACR (FIA) 1935-39 European Championship for Grand Prix cars.

Answering my own questions......It seems I cannot make Zolder too ! Aargh. I get back from Singapore on the Tues 30th and then I go to Boston on the Friday 3rd. I am missing everything, its a nightmare.

Simon Mckinley......now I'm seriously miffed I cannot be there. Sweet memories of him throwing his car around Mondello a couple of years back. Doubtless he'll be doing one handed slides through the curves !

Top jockey !! Good luck Simon

driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
nice level of entries at 17 cars pity there are not more Brits running their cars
from the previous years
Its time the UK had a permenant date not these last minute efforts I am sure 2 or 3 more guys would plan their life holiday etc around the 1 UK race and may do another EEC event after they have had the UK round and folk like liccle tony H could get a rental driver in his A11

now i don my tin hat waiting for the usual merchant bankers to pour scorn on me

Not me drifty we have been singing from the same hymm sheet regarding a UK round and the many UK based teams with cars not running them. I can think of at least 5 F1 cars that could run.
ps 1 point though where is driftwood senior then?

The H-engineering guys are at Donington (where I will be tomorrow )and not near a pc so i'll post an update! I heard from Tony Hansford earlier that the test today with their Orange Arrows A21 was very sucessful and relatively trouble free. So here's to a great weekend of Euroboss and Superleague racing. And hopefully a challenge to Mr Zwarts dominance from big H.

I think most of the viewers here (except you and maybe two/three others) know where they can find all the times and results for this race meeting, including the live timing...
http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=major...&eventid=83502

The first short sprint race was very interesting, with two spectacular battles (behind Klaas) between Ingo Gerstl against Frits van Eerd for second position and Jens Renstrup against Michael Woodcock for fourth!
Frits spun in the last corner where he nearly could touched the car's a** and Michael past Jens in a dramatic last lap.

Unfortunately we lost some cars yesterday and also today after the warm up...

Chris Woodhouse - clutch (WU)
Gary Woodcock - gearbox (R1)
Tony Hansford - gearbox (R1)

Hopefully it will rain after our race today, because Klaas Zwart is on his mission to break the old lap record from Ayrton Senna, but if the rain arriving before probably the worldseries cars have a very good chance to fight in the same league like Klaas for the first place. We will see!

More infos later after race 2..., and please do not forget the live timing on tsl-timing.com, where you can follow all the race action from Donington Park this weekend!

YES I am aware where I can find the lap times, however, they do nothing to tell me what happenened. For example, why did all of these people not finish the race. I'm particuarly intertested in Simon McKinley, but no mention of him.

why do people make dumb bets like this?
it was a forgone conclusion that H will never win a race unless the 1st 8 fall off in front of him

driftwood if you read it thouroughly the bet was whether Euroboss pole would be quicker than the Superleagye pole which it wasn't so I kept my trousers on!
