Actually it used to be free on cable. But that was like ten years ago when there still was analog tv.

Right. Ten years ago we still had grand total of three free-to-view channels in the north

It's something that potentially costs them viewers, that's why it had to be blocked off.
Because people like to watch it on their big screen tellies instead of on their small screen ipads, tablets, laptops, smartphones, etc. The % of viewers that plug their device into their flat screen is still really small and won't hurt Eurosport (or any other broadcasting channel) much.

The WEC stream was in 720p HD last year, that picture could be easily enjoyed on any screen size and it certainly looked better than what Eurosport offers unless you have Eurosport HD.

The stream was simply too good in quality, with excellent commentary & commercial free..it was bound to **** the TV partners off. That's why the paywall is in place now.

Even before Austin is run, we have an entry list for Fuji:

http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/fuj...e-rendez-vous/

No Millenium (surprise!), but an OAK Morgan in LMP2 and Taisan in GTE Am.

Didn't Cox said something about ZEOD possibly running at Fuji and Interlagos? Looks like the whole thing has been thrown to the bin then... don't blame em

Fuji-only for Taisan however Oak should remain there for Shanghai, but for Bahrain it's only 26 cars unless Millennium pulls something off (yeah right).

Considering they had to spin as hard as possible to make the ZEOD's time at LM seem like any kind of quantifiable success you can see why they might just jack it in and concentrate on the proper car rather than try and get it running.

Indeed, and IIRC those Interlagos & Fuji possibilities were brought up before the failure in June.

I recall a MWM from just after Le Mans where it was discussed as a possibility, there was even a pipe dream of running two ZEODs. Interview with Darren Cox at some event, can't remember which one.

He might talk a lot but two G56 entries in three years, funding class-winning and front running P2 cars for years, works GT campaigns in British GT and Blancpain as well as strong Dubai, Bathurst, N24 lineups, not to mention a P1 effort next year...

This global sport would be a lot poorer without Nissan at the moment.

For the record, I hope they choose to focus on the P1 instead of the ZEOD now, much as a racing appearance would be nice.

Emerson Fittipaldi has been added to the FIA Driver Ratings List, and has been rated as a bronze driver.

Because of Platinum qualifications + advanced age, drivers aged over 60 are automatically ranked Bronze even with such an impressive racing career as Emerson.

Fittipaldi family entry in LMP2 or GTE-something at the Sao Paulo WEC round? Since he's ranked Bronze he isn't allowed to race in LMP1.

Trying to create PR boost for the Interlagos 6h so that WEC won't abandon it when the contract ends (there are allegedly organizational disputes according to Motorsport Total)?

GTEs have been re-bopped again, that's the sixth WEC adjustment for the category this year when we have had 3 races so far, we are reaching new records even GT3 formulae could get jealous of... 'real racing'

Porsche 991 PRO & AM Fuel restrictor +0,8mm
Porsche 997 PRO & AM Fuel restrictor +0,8mm
Aston Martin Vantage PRO & AM Fuel restrictor +1,7mm (but of course )

So
1) Prior Silverstone (re-bopped from 2013 final BoP)
2) Prior Spa
3) Prior Test Day (FIA testing)
4) Prior LM
X) Prior LM II if you count Porkie refuel adjustment
5) Prior CotA I
6) Prior CotA II

With five races left and with this pace we should get to ten at least before the season is over

Looking at the BoP tables, there didn't used to be a section for flow restrictors at all, all ACO spec GTEs have been presumably running to the same default size of 28mm all this time (Unlike in the US) no matter what the BoP-fuel capacity is. Obviously they've now "discovered" yet another fiddling way, even though in the sporting reg update released in February it says that:

A flow restrictor, complying with the following drawing must be fixed to the outlet on the bottom of the supply tank. Its diameter "D" shall be adapted, at the discretion of the Endurance Committee, for equalization of time to achieve complete fill in of tank for different fuels.

Different fuels... yes I don't think that's quite the case here... just bopping the cars. Especially as unlike in IMSA racing there is only one type of fuel, as per ACO LMGTE regs (yeah I know they're a joke but let's pretend they matter) art 17.1-3

The Organiser will supply one type of fuel only. It must be available for sale. 20% bio basis. The use of any other fuel is subject to a special request submitted to the agreement of the Endurance Committee and the ASN if necessary.

"Different fuels" vs "fuel types". Diesel is a fuel type as is gasoline. Different fuels could be another term for "fuel makes"?

In IMSA BoP sheets there has been a section for 'fuel type' and it has included such petrol variations as E85 and E10 and IMSA100...

I don't know, not that it really matters... bop what you wish...
