Agree with you there. Despite the closest championship in a while, we did'nt really have a great 'duel'. You know, Like MS-Mika, MS-JV, or MS-Hill. Thats what we are really missing.
While Monty and Kimi were close on points, I felt Michaels only real competitors were his own mistakes, Ferrari's, and the Bridgestone tyres. Between them they closed up the championship. It was'nt that anyone really stepped up (Williams, McLaren & Michelin did improve), it was more them stepping down. I want Kimi, Monty, Alonso or whoever to walk up to and TAKE the crown from him. Not wait for him (and Ferrari) to be so old he drops it. |
