Solberg can he become champ next year?

Just wondering......

Solberg won the WRC last year which was great. Him and Loeb and even Burns and Sainz were in with a shout till the last race.
Him and Loeb were that close you couldn't put paper between there pace and of course the championship was very close.

Although well done to Loeb on his title this year, but I some what think that Solberg deserved to win this year, If he hadn't of crashed out of tje rallys he did which was quite a few I think it would have been a close call.

I hope Solberg will win next year what do you think?

Petter now has a reliable car so expect him to start strong next season

I believe Solberg will regain the Title next year

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It really will depend on how the new Xsara works I think, if they can match it with the current car, it will be close, but if they build a 307, then Seb has no hope.

Don't think it is even anything to do with the car! I think Petter has a clear edge on gravel over anyone on the majority of events.
I think the problem lies with Pirelli. They seem to be the factir that decides whether Petter wins or not and next year they have Peugeot to join them in wallowing in the top 10 on asphalt.
Maybe Peugeot's help might sort the tyres a bit more as two heads are better than one.

Tyres and Car obviously play a big part, but I do think that we are in for a good "fight" between Loeb and Solberg...

...My money is on Solberg for 2005 !!

Solberg will win WRC in 2005, no doubt about that. I'd even put money on it.

Solberg may crash more often than Loeb, but he'll win more often too.

Having developed the car further, Subaru need to concentrate on some of the more peripheral reliability issues that cost points this year. If they do, I'd back Solberg to win.

I don't agree at all. This year was Loeb's.

Loeb is mr. consistency, Solberg may grab more wins. I think the title will be decided by whether the Subaru holds together or not. Hopefully Petter will have the reliability next season that he has enjoyed in the latter parts of this season.

And Loeb will take the title again, because current scoring system prefers firm drivers, who are always on the finish line
