Who's to say it won't be a heavily revised car, especially taking the hybrid aspect into account and the increased competition since Zytek last competed as a (semi) factory P1 team.
Embassy reportedly going with Acura power maybe another reason Corsa's plans have so much apparent backing from Zytek. They need to demonstrate their engines and technology in front running cars. |

Im hoping for a LMP1 coupe, with a few pics if not a mockup like they hard for the P2 project. If they had a finalized NSX replacement, I'd say a GT version of it, but leaning toward a P1 program announcement and an Acura engine package for leasing. Think they want a car at LM asap and an engine plan may get them there in 09, but Brabs is driving so hard they may get an invite at PLM or as champion.

I'd have thought 2009 would be too soon for the Acura (or Honda) to go to Le Mans.
Initially they wanted to go as soon as feasible (which would probably have been this year), but then decided they wanted to go in LMP1 and with a chance of winning, if they went at all. Given that 2009 will be a 'proving' year for the LMP1 (assuming it happens) I suspect we won't see an Acura at Le Mans prior to 2010. Had it been like years gone by with a comparatively late release of the entry list, had they swept all comers at Sebring then they might have fancied a go, but given that we're likely to see the entry list long before then I'd imagine the cautious, pragmatic approach Acura have taken to date persist and limit them to a North American campaign next year. This sort of links to a question in the back of my mind about whether the early release of the LM list actively damages Sebring? I know there are many very good reasons for the early publication, and that if you're serious about winning Le Mans you pretty much have to go to Sebring - but there has been a reduction in the number of 'hopeful' Le Mans entrants coming to Florida. Happily this has coincided with an uptick in the level of serious season long ALMS entries, but it still would be nice if Sebring could be more of a 'race of two continents' than it's been the last few years. |

Why wasn't AGR's 2009 program highlighted like the others? Strange . . . at least to me it is.

Because AGR is out of ALMS starting in 09. I've read they plan on running the US A1GP team, and will switch their focus there, and of course IRL |

Or: they could get shipped to Europe for LMS / P2 Le Mans, which is probably likely. |

Based on a conversation with a team member at a fairly recent ALMS race we can hopefully look for one if not both Epsilon Euskadi at Sebring.

Hmm just got a thought!, can the electric part of the Hybrid also be the starter motor?, if so, and something brakes in the Diesel, they can run back on the starter motor!, which no one else can! (Bet Corvette would have loved that option in 2007! ) |

The Apollo from HH Frentzen run back on the "hybrid" engine at least two times at the 24h of the Nuerburgring due to gearbox problems on the "real" engine.
