Haven't heard that one moffman. Chris Maney will be a tough act to follow.I had heard some guy who used to be in NASCARS may get the gig.

Yeah that's right,also was doing HRT's engines for a time.He has been in America working with the Hendricks Motorsport Nascar team.

It would be a significant step change to come from the well budgeted Hendricks where resources are plentiful, and they test 750 engines on the dyno per season, to move back to BJR.....

750 engines heck that guy will have tremendous experience for Brad and John making a few good high HP Ford Suopercar engines (on which the NASCAR engines are broadly based).
Although it seems Hendricks runs Chev Monte Carlos not Ford Taurus'

Well imagine the dollars laying around Hendricks to produce 750 engines (its in a Superflow Dynos ad if you want to go googling) in a season.

There would be teams of people involved, dozens in fact.

Given that BJR pride themselves on their size, or lack thereof, its an enormous reduction in resources.

Just as it was for Steve Chalker to come from CUB to work for Dick Johnson... a lot of the givens you take for granted just arent there in a smaller environment.

From what I hear this was part of the reason for the change, as he wanted more involvement in the running of the team & a more hands on approach...

This is something other professional engine builders have struggled with as well... they are pigeon holed, and generally dont get a shot at doing more than play with powerplants.

Bo Seton is the notable example here, having run his own team for a long time, at GSR he was motorman and thats about it...

Thats great news-Ozemail Falcons are amongst the fastest,maybe DJR will get the performance to match the work of Ron Tauranac this year.

Certainly did... and also co-founded Race Engine Developments (RED) which supplied a number of Holden teams with customer Chevrolet power...
