Does anyone know a decent English/Salisbury Differential builder in Sussex ?

I just rebuilt an English diff with new bearings etc. Did all the preload as either specc'd in the sheet that came with the new bearings (Good Timken's from Ebay! £49 I think), or from a docs I have on rebuilding them.

It's not that difficult...you will need a dial gauge though. I'll send you the docs if you PM me with email addy.

End result has a very smooth silky feel....fnar fnar.

Pictures here..

There is a good axle man near me in Watford if thats any good to you. He is into drag racing as well so probably uses the Ford 9inch which is similar only bigger he only recently rebuilt my mates Capri axle which is probably the same as yours. Like James said I do mine myself (GM even harder as they are built into the axle) and not rocket science the only thing is you may need a special tool or two.
