Susie Stoddart out of Spa

Her ankle injury has ruled her out of the next round of British F3

Gutted - not the start to the season she or Alan would of wanted. Any idea when she will be back. Presume some fitness training and back for round 3?

Get in one piece and well soon Susie.

Well at least once she's mended that old excuse won't be able to be rolled out again for her performances!

Get Well Soon Susie!

hope she can be mended asap.

i dont rate her highly, but i like being proven wrong when the result is a positive one. i never rated scott speed yet he seems to be pressing all the right buttons in gp2 but i aint bitter about it!

That's a real shame, i was hoping for her to have a change of fortune at Spa.

Hope the ankle get's sorted for R3.

Here's the press release that has appeared on the GT/F3 web site, but nothing on her web site yet.

Susie Stoddart has decided to pull out of competing this weekend at the Spa rounds of the British F3 International Series. The injury to her ankle is still giving her some trouble and it was felt that competing at such a physically demanding circuit like Spa-Francorchamps would only delay her recovery.

Stoddart is expected to be back in action for the rounds at Croft on 8th May.

How she originally injured her ankle and was it before Donington season opener?

It was before the Donington race - in fact it was during the winter.

She tripped and fell while out shopping with her grandmother.

Or "jogging" as later press releases said!

Though what she was doing jogging with her grandmother is anybody's guess.

Does it really matter, she'd only be an 'also ran' anyway?

I think the "also ran" comment was a jogging pun, rather than an insult, was it not?

I have just seen on crash.net and Susie offical website, that she is going to sit out Croft this weekend as well. That's a real shame but she has been strongly advised by her physio to rest and stay out of the car to prevent long term damage.
