I'm going for Davidson. Sure, he did f up yesterday, but he backed that up today with 2 extremely mature drives. Future champion, I'm sure!!

i think will did a good job today and if he can continue that form yes he will be a future champion although i'm not sure at this current stage DJR are championship winning team althoughthey are close enough.
funny how the two old blokes who rubished Frosty and Davo yesterday (Murph and Rusty) retired from the 2nd race both with a engine missfire and didn't get to show their aparent "they better watchout tomorrow" and by R3 Frosty and Davo were nowhere near them due to being back up front. |

yeah he has the missfire which put him a lap down instead of letting him through to go round and re-join the back of the pack so he he spat it big time and parked it because he was out of the points although by the looks of things the team must of agreed, he want to be careful saying stuff like that he dosn't get a fine as well as what he said yesterday.

Regarding the Murphy incident, does anyone here actually know the rule regarding the safety car deployment?
I think Murphy was wrong, and I am surprised Neil didn't make any mention of it. Will Davison was the leader when the SC came out, so naturally the SC should try to find him. Will pitted on that lap......... so he was nowhere to be found. Hence the SC should slot into the position on the road that Davison was in when he pitted. In this case, it was in front of Murphy. As far as I knew, the SC does not have to then go back and find the 'new' leader of the race (in this case Lowndes). Clearly Murphy does not believe this to be the rule. Anyone? And back on topic, CL was the driver of the round for sure. |

Re: Murphy - I don't care what the rule is.
Common sense indicates that the safety car should pick up the leader of the race. If the leader pits, race control should have enough of a clue about what is going on in the race to be able to pick up the next guy in line. Murph was right to have a whinge - this time |

not very often he is right having a whinge, but thats what i like about him he dosn't care just says whats on his mind.
maybe we should adopt the F1 rule in laped cars can overtake the safety car and rejoin at the back of the pack when it is safe to do so at a resonable speed. |

Without doubt Will Davison, and I personally think he did nothing wrong in R1, it was a racing incident, we have all seen it happen a million times before, four or five cars wide into turn 1 on lap 1 doesn't go and someone is going to get pushed around. As for Russell Ingall saying the gloves are of, maybe he has a case of Alan Bond's memory function problem, I seem to recall seeing more than a few dodgy passing moves from him over the years. I also think Jamie Whincup put in a solid performace over the week end.

In fact, what is the point of the "Safety" car if race cars are allowed to pass it and drive past supposedly "unsafe" areas unpoliced? As happens now. It AINT about safety AT ALL. Never was. Never will be. Its about time they showed a bit of honesty and changed its name to the "Field Compression Car" |

Without a doubt it would have to be Todd, for bumping Skaife out of the lead turn 1 race 2, and handing Lowndes track position and subsequently the round
