Walter Hayes Letter

I was looking through some old 'Autosports' and these two letters on the correspondence page from 1969 caught my eye.
I scanned them and have asked John McIlroy at the magazine if I can post them here. John has kindly allowed me to do so - thanks John/Autosport - and quite interesting they are too.

The first letter was written by Walter Hayes in response to those who were questioning Ford's domination of F1 with the DFV. Such a pity that the likes of Walter were not in charge at the blue oval in recent years with the Jaguar F1 fiasco.

The second letter is bound to make you drivers who pay high entry fees chuckle!

Both very interesting. Well found Andrew.

I was amused to note that the prize money mentioned was £10
Now if we take todays entries/prize money at the same ratio it would make the prize money worth having, would it not?
