I think a lot of 2011 seats will depend on what M Schu decides to do. I believe there was some thought that if Michael didn't like the 2011 Pirelli tyres that he may decide to call it a day. Now, ive read that he quite liked the feel of the Pirelli rubber, so who knows. If Schu does call it a day, then I could see someone like Sutil being after the Mercedes seat.

Wouldn't Rosberg be #7 or is that another lucky number for MS

The odd number wasn't very lucky for him this year was it. Tbh i think its wrong if Schumacher gets the choice of numbers since he doesn't deserve it, because he LOST to his team-mate so Rosberg should get the choice of number.

I think that he was throwing his weight about before personally, trying to play mind games and Nico allowed it because he is Schumacher and lets be blunt, i'm sure that the majority of us expected Michael to be the teams number 1.
I'll be very surprised if Nico allows it for 2011 to be honest. |

I'd be surprised if any of Hispania's drivers return with them next year
In fact, I'd be surprised if Hispania return at all But if they do, it looks like it'll be de la Rosa and Pay Driver X - eyeing up Valsecchi at the moment Virgin will be hiring one from van der Garde or d'Ambrosio |

I hope they can move back to some prettier looking cars in 2011. I think some of the 2010 cars take the ugly stick award for this decade. I really hated the look of the Sauber and the McLaren, both had a really long wheelbase, compared to the Renault which was tiny and quite short.

Sadly I feel we are going to have a lot of good guys next year who can't get a ride. There are two pieces on Autosport website emphasising the financial aspect of getting a drive next year and I can only feel that we are moving further away from drivers getting into F1 on merit even if such a route was always limited. The teams that can afford to pick up young drivers and school them like McLaren and Red Bull will continue to dominate and the rest will struggle to get into the top 4 slots in the teams table unless there is a major rethink on the distribution of the purse.
Ferrari of course will continue to chose only the best It is going less a case of "how fast can you go mister?" and more "how much money you got mister?" |

True, but that's always been the case to a certain extent, and indeed has been the case all the way through these guys single seater careers - they should know by now that they need money.

... and as far as they are concerned, BMW's choice to stay out of F1 isn't going to change anytime soon.

Renault would be better off sticking to their Renault World Series, to the average joe it says; "hey look! we are interested in racing, performance, we are hi-tech, we like the sporty image racing gets and its now associated with our brand, please buy our cars". That is pretty much the mantra of any PR machine that goes into motorsport. |

It's really only the second Genii, Williams, Virgin and both HRT's that are open now isn't it?
Related thread: http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123944 Please might I suggest that a merge might be good folks? |

They'd have a good balance of experience and youth and two handy drivers too. Sutil can go to Merc reserve role. I hope FI doesn't turn into a bidding contest with who can bring the most funding, although I fear it could end that way if the rumours of them being short for cash are true... |

For Renault it is to increase brand awareness I think. Its a brand that is strong in Europe and some other parts, but not quite strong in others. F1 can provide this.

Well Ricciardo is STR's 3rd driver next year and will get Friday outings aswell as doing WSR. So a slight reprieve for Buemi but heaven help either of them if Ricciardo is faster on the Fridays and they have a bad start to the season...
