Matter rollcages

Not sure if this topic belongs here - I believe the Matter rollcage company is not in business anymore; I am looking for the manufacturer who builds the rollcages that are still sold under the Matter name.

Any ideas?

Anuauto has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Didnt they merge with Safety Devices?

I know A. Fall was the link (having used Matter cages at Opel). Maybe it was that the original joint firm failed and is now trading again ? Aley Bars got incorporated too at some point?

Confusing point there. Safety devices bought Aley bars when John Aley retired i think. However, they seem to have scrapped a lot of their rarer designs. A bloke who was John Aley's apprentice (of sorts) went onto form Rollcentre Racing and seems to have a lot of Aley designs...

In other words, Matter is out of business. This brings me to my next question:

Martin Short runs the roll centre, I'd recommend them. the recommendation to me was 'well it saved my life'

I am not located in Britain, and I need a readily available rollcage for a certain car (look at the other thread pls). Matter is named as the manufacturer of the factory kit but I guess that's another factory marketing its products under the Matter label.

matter's matters

Seeing this old thread I thought I would correct history.
John Aley set up Aley Bars in the 1960's with Brian Wilkinson.
Brian left Aley Bars and set up Safety Devices in the 1970's
Brian bought Aley Bars soon after which became part of Safety Devices
Wilfred Matter bought Safety Devices in the 1980's
Tony Fall came to work for Matter around 1990 and subsequently bought Safety Devices. Tony died in 2008 but the Company continues successfully and is the largest roll cage manufacturer in Europe.
Safety Devices still has most of the jigs from those early Aley Bars days (approx 2,500 in total). ww.safetydevices.com
