Some good info..

An LM3000 is just a Prosport, not sure about whether the engine is just a standard one - who's running it??

Should get lot's of entries for the GT's as the Open Sportscars and Ferraris are both present..

Saw Jenny Proctor's car for sale, all very sad...

Only one week left now until Come kicks off..

So if anyone has any news, could you let me know... I like to be ahead of the game!!

Big news so far is that:

Keith Macskill is returning to the Pagids..

There's probably going to be two of Bob Light's beasts running in the GT's for selected races.... awesome!

And that the circuit has had more money spent on it, with improved run off at Folly and Quarry corner (I presume in saying that, that there is now 'some' run off as compared with none at all...).

Anything else??

Wooo, a Combe topic, I can see Graham beating a path here already
Ok, an LM3000 with a unique 4.7 litre rover V8 will be in the field for the GTs.
Do you not think that the younger Howel brother will take over the mini? After all, he was selling his Metro last year!
Not sure if Richard Carter is doing FF1600 this year, there is no mention of him on the official Combe site
I just have a gut feeling about Richard Broadhead being quick, Anita Broadhead isn't racing at all this year.(Pagid)
Jenny Proctor is selling her "formula ford challenger".(formula ford)
Illsa Cox, not Brian this year.
Tim Hanlon will win Class B. (Pagid.)
Can't think of any more news as yet.
Dan, are you Marshelling the day?

I was playing around in Photoshop and this voice suddenly started whispering "Combe, Combe,...) so I just knew something was afoot. And I was right - a luvverly topic on luvverly 10T.

Anyway, that's all bo**ox.

I'm rather a fan of Rover V8s so I'm looking forward to the LM3000/ Prosport. Did I read that in AS? Shouldn't it be an 'LM4700'? And just what was the difference between and LM and [ahem] bog standard Prosport? And do they still make them?

Remember the Ultima with Chevy engine a few years back? Now was that 'our' Mr Light that drove that?

How much 'run off' has been added to Quarry? Are we out from under the electricity wires now? Good job I'm getting a better lens or I'd be a bit miffed.

What we really need to establish is what Geoff Janes is doing this year I've seen his Tuscan for sale in AS a while back so is he bailing out to do the Challenge or what?

How's Rick getting on with preparing his Peugeot? Is it a Pug this year or something [dons tin hat] higher up the grid.

Bye den,

Graham

PS. Just remembered. That LM'4700' has joined us because the Open Sports limited engine capacity to 4 litres.

I think Rick should answer that one!
Yes you did read it in As, the source of most of my useless trivia!
Where to stand is the thing on my mind at the moment, I think Camp, it is a cool corner, although the first chicane, with it's extended viewing platform, should also be cool.

I'm always going to be a Quarry man, but Folly and Camp are good places for photography too.

I think I'll try to get more varied shots this year, perhaps at Old Paddock, Tower and Bobbies. Thoughts?

Oh yes, any particular cars you'd like me to take a pic of (not that you couldn't do better yourself)?

My pictures aren't usually too bad
Some nice ones of Rick, and some FF1600 front runners would be cool.
You could start up selling your pictures, you know, like in a blown up size.
Lots of people would be willing to pay I'm sure.
Take a picture at one of the meetings, and at the next, try to sell it to the driver!

Yeah, I suppose I could. But then, as it says on my site, I'm really only taking pics for pleasure and any club blokeys can use them for free.

Perhaps if I took an extra special one (with luck and with the wind behind me) I might offer it to whomever.

Pics of Rick? Okay-doke. Rick, remember to smile or go round Quarry on two wheels!

Only 7 days? Yes!

Rick, you could go one better and launch yourself off the tyres and into (not on) the crowd. Then I could take some cool pix

Run off at Quarry is now only a little safer... by about five yards!!

A LM3000 is the same thing as a Prosport.. The company Prosport went bust, and the drivers saved the series - renamed it the 'LM3000' series..

They're not made anymore, but their were quite a few built - although the grids were never filled...

But with a 4.7 engine (with a decent driver???), perhaps Bob Light better but his foot down..

I am marshalling.. but we don't get allocated a corner until the morning.

But hopefully Quarry or Camp!!!!

I would say come and say 'hello' - but I don't know where I'll be, and we all tend to wear orange!!!!

Off to look at a MG Midget on sunday - so if I buy that you'll know who I am for next time (it's a nasty yellow).....

Any important news????

Didn't realise that we had Super Coupe's tomorrow - they're not really that 'super', but good for a few spins and 'moments', just hope there's lots entered.

There's now a new large bank down at 'Bobbies' (second chicane), which will prabably be worth going to, becasue you should be able to see most of the circuit from that vantage point (everything apart from Quarry)..

Not sure what time I'll be there, probally about 9:30 or 10:00.
I usually stand on Camp Corner, but this is in no way a reference to my sexual preference
I think That the singh car is still road going.
He said that his problems were in stoping the thing and in the handling.
Speed has never been a real problem, the bhp is now up to 360!
