Having not seen your design, one thing I will say is that homages to Senna's design are very common. Maybe it'd be worth trying something unique.

Don't waste your money on a helmet design, it won't make you go faster! I've been racing for years and just had a plain helmet, they cost about 500 quid to paint and I'd rather spend that money on 2 engine rebuilds or 5 sets of tyres! They will make. You go faster!

I don't know if you refer back to this thread, but I believe in most racers there are three camps of thought.

1. - Look like someone you emulate
ex. Hamilton or Schumacher, but perhaps play on colour

2. - Have the helmut mean something to you
ex. Stefan Johannson's father was named Leif...so he had coloured leaves painted on his helmet, or old Graham Hills helmet painted like his athletic clubs colours.

3. - Have it painted with your sponsorships colour like most RedBull backed drivers...perhaps raising more funds with this type of sponsorship.

Just my thoughts on this...

Completely agree...but I also think he's giving up part of his identity in doing this. We all know a Villeneuve, Hill, Coultard, Mansell, or Andretti helmet...but a Vettel helmet??...I don't know what that actually looks like as it's always changing.

Good point, but it seems that's the way to go with all this media stuff offering the big bucks.

Interesting point to notice is that as a racer (biiig EGO) Vettel is fine iwth that.
