It wasn't so wet at all.....only during warm-up (how ironic, all I felt was cold)

Dave Davis, the Grand Fromage, has posted some seriously in depth journalism and hour by hour reports. Better than Autosport I'd say. Mind that's not hard these days is it?
Great stuff by Dave Davies, Grand Formage and Co ! WOrth a look ! How was the CA dinner, BTW ? I missed the CA team again, say hello to Powermite for me !

You weren't allowed to get in the Paddock ? I mean, the paddock bar is downstairs, in the lane leading to the paddock, at ground level... it's not really in the pits building, but outside the paddock.

On saturday, it was close until 8h45am, but we had our coffee properly at 8h30am on sunday...

Well, nevermind, too late, but I'll be there at 8h30 in April (remember it's not in May next year !), on sunday, and I'll try the saturday too...

Fab I did not go to the race but apparently Gilles took the guys to an off-licence (maison du vin?) for dinner and they had a god time. If you see PM, his mate spun his 'vette 360 dgrees on the autoroute. I hope they took spare trousers!

And ask KPY why he missed the start of the race. I think a late night was involved....

The same heater on another angle... so close, so close... Do I have to precise, for those who weren't there, that it was taken at the very same place ?

Ayse, you're spoilt !

Very nice pics, EliseGT1, can't wait to see the movies... and I have the movie of the start from the pits grandstands, we can glue yours thereafter, to have the continuity !

With less ballast and air intake penalties, I think this car could go further... and the shape is definitely original : a good looking, a great sound, soon the performances !

Yeah, the sound and looks are great, let's hope it will be really competitive one day. Personally I think that the car looks better in silver than it looked in orange.

I think this was more a 'private' entry of Spyker paid by Norman Simon and Patrick van Schootte. The last one imports Spykers to the US. And I think also Orange is only interested in Le Mans 24 hours.

I didn't miss the start - just turned up where PM had set a new meeting place. Then he changed to the original place without telling me. I spent five hours heaving a picnic for the crew around with me.
True about the 'vette, was getting on the dual carriageway from Arnage before the passes the airport, but PM said it was 2x360, followed by 2x180. Only damage was a tiny scrape of paint down to the undercoat.
If I looked that tired (you can post the photos Fab), well yes it was a late night, we ate at the Bar a Vin (very good value wines, but food not up to Flambadoux standard), then there was the bar where some people got a little sleepy, after which Gilles decided he could fit eight guys in his Golf, and that's when a certain moderator from another forum and I discovered a piano bar where the beer and the oysters were great and we met some nice French people. Despite my accomplice wanting to pull from the queue the bouncer was keeping out, we got back to the hotel in time to get a little kip before watching the French taking the Irish apart at rugby.
Nice to see Gilles, Fab, Bernard, and others plus meeting Dave (Big Cheese) Davis and the Maison Blanche crew who did a fantastic job.
I admit to leaving at 17.00 as I had 180 miles to do home and it got dark and foggy. Home at 20.00, though.

Great stuff Fab and RDJones!

Mine are online too. I guess I made just too many pictures...(1100+) it took me a whole night to organize them and put some of them online.

If you see a nice one and would like to 'upgrade' your desktop or print one off for the bedroom drop me a mail and I will send the original (3072x2048). Printing goes fine if not going beyond lets say 30x45cm.
