Bad news for Nippon fans overseas. Froth and Bubble! Singapore's first permanent motor racing track is heading for death after its developers admitted they would not be able to get the facility operational by the end of the year. 2012 FN expansion dream wont come true. The circuit is buggered.

There's an official youtube channel too, but the highlights there are briefer, inferior clips with irritating music:

Why would China and Singapore deserve a Formula Nippon race? What have they given to the series? There are no Chinese (or Singaporean) drivers, teams or sponsors. Petronas, how ever, have but some money behind TOM'S in FNippon and other series, so there might be some sense in Malaysian race.

The shakedown test of System-E (original hybrid system) was carried out in Suzuka Circuit today.
Test drivers were Tsugio Matsuda (Toyota) and Ryo Michigami (Honda).
However, System-E was not able to be operated because of the trouble.

System-E is a system which assists 50 H.P. by battery and motor.
At a full charge, the assistance for 10 seconds can be used twice time.
By regeneration of 3laps, it becomes full charge.
The system consists of one-make motor made by Zytek, and multi-make inverter and battery.
These components are cooled by a liquid-cooled system.
The gross weight of this system is about 60 kg.
It seems that the introduction in 2012 is difficult.

Minoru Hayashi(President of Dome) is criticizing JRP (promoter of FN) without the vision to the future on Dome's official website.
He was promoting the FN and FCJ chassis to JRP repeatedly until now.
His opinions for FN are one-make monocoque/gearbox/engine and multi-make body work. Yes, it is the same method as next-gen indie chassis.
He has been continuing this opinion from 1994(!).
This is a project book written in 1994.
http://www.dome.co.jp/planning/images/post_f3000.pdf
However, JRP is continuing ignoring this proposal.
He says that there is an unwholesome system in JRP.
FN "must be" an import chassis in order that a certain import agent(=LeMans Shokai/trading) may get a margin.
Dome does not even have having been invited to chassis selection of JRP(!).
This is a courageous whistle-blowing.

If you want to write an interesting report about FN as motorsport journalist, require Dome to issue an English version statement.

Looks like Japan resident moral compass isn't such a straight arrow after all. Isn't Dome more expensive than Swift? Money talks in motorsports.

Minoru Hayashi says that a formal estimate for FN chassis is not required of Dome from JRP yet once.
Only once, Dome has received the participating approach of FN chassis selection from JRP.
However, it was the ritual approach "by one sheet of paper" made just before the contract of JRP and Swift.

Formula Nippon Data Center backup copy

Hi guys!

Could you help me? I am looking for a website called Formula Nippon Data Center. Unfortunately, the owner of this site has removed the page and also unfortunately, I don't have a backup copy of the page. Have anyone this copy of the FNDC? The archives in the Google are very incomplete, the tables load partially only.

Thanks the support.

A shame that sites on the internet are so ephemeral.

Wikipedia is nowhere near as comprehensive unfortunately. FNDC contained season data such as car numbers, sponsors etc. A great resource, sad to hear it sounds like it's gone.

You can try often retrieve old sites using the Wayback Machine at archive.org.

For example, an archived version of FNDC from July 2010:
http://web.archive.org/web/201007210....jp/fndce.html

I hope it's complete.

At the Wayback Machine you just have to paste the original site URL into the box, in this case...

http://fndc.hp.infoseek.co.jp/fndce.html ... then click "Take Me Back".

Well, when you click one of the years, then the first half of the data-table is loaded only. The second half of the table is missing. I wrote for this reason that if you are a fan who copied all of them, I'd like to you copy the pages here, possibly in ZIP format.

You are right, I didn't notice that.

I didn't recall doing so earlier, but I just looked in my files and I see that I did save all of these tables as html files some years ago. I have all the FNDC tables from Japanese F3000 etc 1973 to 2006

I need to go to work now, but I'll PM them to you later, and to anyone else who requests them.

Maybe someone can help with what I'm missing: 2007 to 2010?

Unfortunately I didn't save the Japanese F3 files either by the looks of it. Does anyone have those too please?
