yes they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the spitfire three car works team in 1962, missed the GBW last year for the first time in many years thanks to those people at Audi but must go this year as we will have a spitfire in our group

My first trip for several years and I was really surprised at how much the welcome had grown, I will definitely be back there again this year, bright and early, before attending the pit walkabout

as it is only 3 weeks to go I thought i would remind people about the classic car show, with the pit visit now later in the afternoon you should be able to spend the morning there and then back in time for the pit visit, had to miss last years due to early start at Audi, as already pointed out the show feature triumph spitfires this year but everyone will find cars that appeal to them at the show both old and new, the car parks probably contain just about every make of british and french cars ever made

I do like the CBW, despite some Frenchman laughing at me as I tried to daintily exit my mate's Lotus Elise the other year.
I'm sure it can be worked into our plans for Friday this time around. |

I think quite a few of the pit lane visitors will be there on friday before heading back and then the amazing trip to visit the Toyota team

I doubt I'll be able to make it this year
 However it is well worth the trip. Easy to get to, loads of great cars when you are there and a you are treated like royalty if you are in a classic. |

There were adverts for the CBW in some of the motoring press this week, as it is normally free to get in and the adverts must have cosy somethig i do hope they will not start charging this year

Undoubtedly...... Are there stalls, food outlets etc. etc there, or is it just a case of something to keep the people travelling to Le Mans occupied on Friday?

It is all these bits that worry me, a few years ago it was just a few old car fans running a small show to raise funds for the school, now thier seems to be a big budget for promotions, so where do these funds come from, the food and drink sales at the show can't raise that much
