2007 O'Reilly 300 @ Texas Busch Series Event Thread *SPOILERS*
While the NEXTEL Cup Series was on a break over Easter the Busch Series battled on the concrete banks of Nashville Superspeedway, and now it's time to team up with the NEXTEL Cup Series again and head over to the Great American Speedway; Texas Motor Speedway.
Track Specs: 1.5-mile oval, 24 degrees of banking in the turns, 5 degrees of banking on the straightaways. Roughly 155,000 grandstand seats. There are 46 cars going for 43 spots. NASCAR.com has the entry list. Juan Pablo Montoya returns to the #42 Dodge while Mark Martin looks set to make his second Busch Series start of the season, again driving the #06 Dish Network Ford he drove at Daytona. TV: Pre-race show on ESPN2 starts at 2:30pm ET, April 14th. Green flag is scheduled for just after 3:00pm ET. My pick for the win: Carl Edwards (err.. surprise! surprise!) |

Will there be a live stream on nascar.com? To my surprise there was a free live stream last weekend.
Was/is there a live stream because ESPN2 is not mainstream channel? |

According to this schedule I just came across the race from Texas will indeed be carried live via NASCAR.com. If that schedule is accurate - which it should be - we have no less than 25 live webcasts, Texas included, to look forward to during the rest of the year
 As for your second question I honestly have no idea, but if I were to make a guess I'd say it's part of a marketing plan to bring attention to ESPN2 (which carries a majority of the Busch races this season). I'm not sure how widely available ESPN2 is in the US, but perhaps it's slightly similar to Eurosport and Eurosport 2, where Eurosport - at least here in Sweden - is widely available as part of basic cable packages etc while Eurosport 2 requires a subscription package of some sort. In Holland Eurosport 2 is only available if you subscribe to digital TV or satellite TV. |

Oops, was watching CORR on MotorsTV and forgot about the Busch race. Got the feed up and running now though.
EDIT - Montoya running fourth with 60 odd laps to go. Seems the 1.5 mile cookie cutters suit him quite well. |
