Why is everyone leaving Lister?
LMP or GT. Long time or recent Lister driver. Pay or not. Drivers seem to be leaving Lister!
Well a little OTT, but I hope this doesn't mean that any of the Lister programs are under threat |

It does make you wonder what's going on there Adam. But I have no idea, personally.

Maybe the Lister Storm GT's are finished (although i really hope not) they've been around a long time and maybe a new car is required from lister.

I think it was meant to be at Monza, but the late change in drivers meant they stuck with the old car (so they didn't take time getting used to it).
It would be a shame for them to leave. Years ago I saw them at Oulton. It had the bonnet off and, at first glance, I thought they'd removed the engine. However it was just buried so far back and so low. |

Yes, Lister drivers have often remarked that the Storm GT is practically a mid-engined car rather than front-engined, as so much of the (not inconsiderable) weight of the glorious Jaguar V12 is between the axles.
Personally, though, I've always found the car rather ugly. The GT1 was prettier, but not much. |

It seems Lister might run another LMP before the end of the season. So its not all bad.

Well it was one car only at Valencia (and the old one at that). So no drive for Coronel (because there wasn't a team mate for him?).
And now it seems Tom is out of the drive in the LMP at Le Mans. The line up now includes Nielsen, which is great, but a shame for Tom. I mainly find it all a shame because there is a car there to be raced and it is just stuck in the garage. |

Im sure Tom is not very happy with the situation at Lister. He goes from having a new for 2004 Storm and a drive in a rapid prototype at Le Mans to having missed one race and no drive at Le Mans, I'm not surprised everyone is leaving Lister by the way Tom has been treated so far.

More trouble for Lister:
At the end of the free practice session on the Le Mans track on Sunday April 25th, Lister Racing’s prototype and truck were seized by the French authority. This decision was made after Andrea Piccini had sued Lister Racing for damages and for not respecting the terms of the contract signed in December 2003. (link) |

France is the favoured country for impounding cars. Why is this?

Glad that it got sorted out... Now maybe they can focus on racing.... |

The Piccini story is quite worrying though... do anybody could confirm that there won't be any Lister on the grid this week-end ?
