From a marketing and strategic standpoint, having John Bowe with his butt in your car when he breaks the all-time record for the number of starts is actually buying a piece of history.
Based on that, I can see why Holden would want to that, to keep the honour with their brand given the tragic event of this year |

Mid-90s in the Wanneroo 300, in a 'V8Supercar' Commodore.
As for who he drove with, could have been Ian Love? Not completely sure, have to go back and check my AA's from that period. |
