It probably is quite convoluted

Sora bought Pescarolo Sport - this was the race team - given the sale price was one Euro I'd be surprised if this also included assets such as the production facilities

OAK own the IP and production rights to the Pescarolo chassis - my reading on this is that this involves just the Pescarolo 01 and involves nothing physical in terms of plant or property

There was also the issue of what went to Pescarolo Automobiles in 2008 with Jacques Nicolet - was there anything physical transferred at that point?

I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if the ACO were engaging in a bit of badge engineering and looking to secure the Pescarolo name for their school activities. That said, given their link to the local economy surely they're interested in their investment retaining some employment and activity around the technoparc - especially after being relatively burnt by the ORECA LMPC deal and the subsequent relocation away from Le Mans.

So no Pesca on the LMS season entrylist...sad but not unexpected

We still have tomorrow the Le Mans entrylist to see, as a hope, but franckly would it be wise to run Le Mans without any preparation races before ???

They can enter on a Race-to-race basis.
Like Peugeot did last year.

According some rumours SORA Composites would be expected entering Le Mans with two Pescarolo-Judd LMP1 protos...but no idea if Henri Pescarolo would be involved or not though

I'd spotted the Renault connection there too - wouldn't surprise me to see this as a toe in the water affair by Renault to gauge response - and also to give their F1 test team something to do.

Delighted to see them on the list either way. After all the blows of the winter and their absence from the LMS entry list I was beginning to worry.

There is definitely something in the link between Pescarolo and Renault as Mariantic has linked an article from EI that states that 5 of Pesca's drivers are from Renault driver development programme.

... now is it just Renault providing some funds to let its drivers develop in such a big race or is it the start of something more for Renault??

Don't confuse Renault with Genii Capital (aka Renault F1) :-)

Charouz Racing System is just a name. I think except for their national racing entries (Czech endurance series) their cars are always run by other teams.

It was Jota who run their cars in the LMS before the AMR involvement

Mean looking rear end Very fine! This looks like a high downforce aero package, not so much suited for Le Mans.

It's probably not 100% exactly the best place to ask this question, but anyway... It has probably been answered before (before I joined this forum), but has the exact cause of the crash of the #17 Pescarolo Peugeot at LM last year been... erm... publicised? I've just been looking through some photos on the official Le Mans website this morning, and I was pretty horrified at seeing some close-up shots of the enormous amount of damage the car actually took during that accident.

From what I understand ..... the driver (Trulyer) clipped the rumble strip , the car got sideways and áirborne . As far as I know , there was no machanical failure .

And honestly ..... if Pug are the reason , for the demise of Pescarolo , through having to pay for the damage . Shame on them .
