12th place was 1 safetycar back.

Positions 13-17 were 2 safety cars back i believe.

Astons and BMW really got caught out.

I believe they haven't really lost anything. They were about that far back anyway. They just didn't gain anything.

Maybe it is just me, but why was the SC needed? Seems ridiculous to me. Why punish someone when FCY is available?

2015, but weren't classified due to insufficient distance and would've been DQ'd otherwise for being underweight.

I think he meant with their own car, not as an R10 customer team. And they had a double DNF in 2010 with that, too.

Yep...want to say it was Lotterer and Charles Zwolsman. Car was running as high as 4th/5th before it had a minor clutch issue at dawn in 09. Basically got Lotterer his factory ride as he was so impressive.

Most of that damage was done in Conway's stint to set that up. Mike built up almost a 1 minute lead by the time his first shift ended.
