Few extra cars for Indy, think it is 4 added LMP3s and a few GTDs, NSX for Racer's Edge, Lone Star AMG and Andretti's Aston but it's been on the list and missed multiple events |

Well, the Indy race is today. Not my favorite place to watch racing from but I’ve just caught up with qualifying. Pretty competitive stuff, as usual, but Porsche showing strong once again. On Penske home turf, of course!

They seem to have found something with the 963 recently. Great race in Fuji and now pole here.

Yeah, watching the road course at Indy just doesn't get my attention. Might listen to RLM working in the yard but might also take a nap instead.

The captain gets what the captain wants. Get used to the infield for a number of years to come.
The race should be decent, but having watched the Fuji replay yesterday I've been spoiled slightly. Hopefully the GTP fight stays tight going into Petit. |

I know it's been a mix of horrendous luck and driving error, but it's getting to the point where the #01 is known for its offs first.

The driving standard throughout the field is truly awful. I’ve never seen so many drivers punting others off

IMSA Radio coverage is nearly as bad as the driving standards right now.

I’m a big fan of Jeremy but unfortunately he hasn’t been much better in this race, so far. I do wonder how much of that is down to tech issues/doing it remote, though. |

Neither of them sound enthused, it's been this way for at least this season. It does mean we get less of Shaw's hypersensitivity to any perceived criticism of IMSA's regs/procedures though, I'll take that at least.

Given how long these yellows are (for an incident that was self recovered), yellow was the time to talk to Twitter and do shoutouts for people nobody care about. But it seems we save those for when there is racing.

Cadillac being favoured once more.
Crap! So unfair! Stupid ruling IMSA! American brands in American racing series. Is that the reason? That can't be true or can it? |

Right so Porsche didn't react quick enough to the reorder, and Derani overtook and is allowed to keep the position?
That's an amazing can of worms to be opened on that one eh. Now every reorder is full throttle so you can gain positions under SC. What a ridiculous decision. |

No, if anything, IMSA would want to keep Penske sweet more.
The Porsches were penalised for not correctly following wave-around procedure where Derani did. You can bet that both Porsches will not be going slow at the next wave-around. I'm not sure the stewards have thought this one through. |

Someone needs to explain WTF is going on here!
This shows every reason why I really dislike IMSA racing. And people complain about the SRO FCY/Safety car rules! FFS! |

That rule they just read out does not apply to what happened.

Y'all do know you can make your own series or watch elms right? If you don't like IMSA don't join the stream, it's not like they make up regs every week just to screw with viewers
That's more for the we hate it brigade than the actually understanding folks. And sorry but SRO rules as comparison, really??? |

I do like IMSA, that's why I watch it. But the commentators talking to Right Turn Lover rather than the race doesn't help. And IMSAs explanation on why they just randomised the top 3 cars doesn't fit their own rule book. I think it's ok to be like "Hey, this seems like nonsense".

In this instance, it's specific enough to be contrived, and it still does not make sense. Hopefully the Porsches get back past #31 on track at least. |
