Fia -GT 2005 entries

Are there any «provisional» entry list for fia gt 2005?

no, its still too early for that. But i can give you a rough list of possible entries

GT1:

2x Vitaphone/AB Saleens
1x Konrad Motorsport Saleen
1x Star Moto Racing Saleen (Max Stanco)
1x Graham Nash Saleen
2x RML Saleen (MAYBE)
2x BMS TBA (they will not run 550's next season)
2x GPC 575's
3x JMB 575's
2x Zwaans GTR TBA (they will not run vipers next season)
2x Carsport Vettes

i bet that BMS will pick up Maserati's and Zwaans will pick up either Lambo's or Saleens. JMB may also switch to Mazzas..
i have no clue on NGT (now GT2)

I heard in Oschersleben that there's a fair chance that BMS will run the Prodrive 550's next year, possibly meaning that they'll leave FIAGT. Prodrive will focus on the Aston Martins, and BMS would then run Prodrive's 550's.

RML won't run with Saleens, Mike Newton is selling a fair bunch of his Saleens including the ones driven by RML this year. From what I've heard so far Newton and Erdos will focus on their Lola next year.

Zwaans will be Murc or Saleen indeed next year, but it's almost sure that they won't run 2 cars again. They'll probably focus on 1 car.

In NGT we will probably see Freisinger with 2 or 3 cars again, GPC also with their 360 and perhaps even another one (like Dubai). Proton is also a steady team so I would be surprised if they weren't there anymore next year. For the rest it's probably a big tombola again, wich smaller teams might enter.

if BMS will not run the 550 . than it's pretty sure it's gonna be the mazza . and if they don't run the 550 there will be a lot of extra 550's around . maybe Zwaans gonna race them .or some new teams .. would be strange not to have the championship car next year

RML (Mike Newton) is selling 3 of his chassis's. but they said that if they dont sell them, they will consider coming back to FIA GT next year.

Zwanns has insisted that they will run 2 cars. this was about a month ago, maybe things have changed?

It would be stupid for BMS not to defend their championship next year. I guess that they will probably be back with the 550s then. My bet is that they got the contract to run the factory Aston's in 2006. But if not, they would run Mazzas.

its very hard to find up to date info on fia gt teams. thats the problem i think. teams change their minds often, and we dont know what is the newest bit of info.

What about Creation? they said that they would like to be back in FIA GT next year. maybe Mazzas or a Vette?

Whats the chance of BMS running in the LMES with the 550s, now that Larbra will run the Panoz?

Larbre will run the Panoz in LMES, correct?

i understand your point, but it would be very stupid for BMS not to come back to FIA GT next year. and after all, LMES is only going to be 4-5 rounds, where FIA GT is 11.

was AF Corse a one-off effort just for these last 3 races of 2004, or is it an actual team we can expect to see running next year? also, what is hezemans doing right now and what makes you think he'll get a 'vette?

there have also been two people who have posted they think there will be two vitaphone saleens and another konrad entry making for 3 konrad cars all together... has there been rumor or suggestions that this is to happen for konrad in 2005?

my reasoning for Zwaans picking up two saleens and graham nash running a second car is that i think there will be a surplus of cheap saleens out there as RML is going to get rid of their stock of S7-Rs over the off season...

I don't know about AF Corse to be honest. I think they will continue to run the car in 2005, car will change and they'll want to stay on top of things to advertise Maserati and the MC12. The reason for Hezemans-Corvette: The rumours where there longer already, that Creation and Hezemans were in the running for the C5R's that will become available when the C6R hits the track. And Hezemans confirmed the interest in the car later on. It's been very silent around this the last weeks though.

The 2nd Vitaphone is a rumour, though I wouldn't be surprised. But its nothing but a rumour. The Konrad car is almost certain I'd say, can't see a reason why Seiler and Lechner would stop racing the thing. The Star Moto ride was confirmed not long ago if I'm not mistaken, with Max Stanco buying a Konrad chassis.

My reasoning for the Zwaans team picking up one Murcielago is that I've spoken with the team several times lately

BTW, we're forgetting something here. During the Donington FIAGT event there was a Saleen S7R for sale, it was parked outside the GTR tent. DailySportsCar reported not long after the race that it was bought by DRM (wich is running 2 360 Challenges in the BGT now) who were planning to do the FIAGT season in 2005. Anybody heard anything about that one?

Any news on the GT3 class? Im sure I read in AUTOSPORT magazine a couple of months ago that Ratel was considering a new class for FIA GT for the cup class and Challenge machinery we see in British GT, Spanish GT etc and calling it GT3, perhaps Graham has some info on this he can share with us?

add at least 1 Factory Lister to the list. it has been confirmed that Lister will be on the grid with at least one factory lister.

ohh and BMS is supposed to run Maserati's in the 24hrs of le mans next year. so does that mean that they will run Mazzas in fia gt too? i think so.....

i am sure there will be at least 3 konrad run saleens on the grid in fia gt next year(2 vitaphone, 1 Stanco). so that like is kina wrong tblincoe. heh

Zhuai GT festival? you mean Bahrain? lol

the next FIA GT race is Zhuhai, and Mike Mallock will be in the 8 car. its good that he is given another oppurtunity, but it will probably be RML's last race with their(Mike Newton's) Saleens. Kinda sad if you ask me..

I heard that BMS will check all possible cars for next season but they prefer to race the F550 in 2005 and in 2006 -maybe- they run the Prodrive DB9.
