Hi Toca, and welcome to the forum!
I think one of the factory Audis will win, and my prediction goes in favour of the #1 car with Kristensen, Biela and Pirro. I must say the #2 car that Capello placed on pole looks strong too, so it could go either way! I really think one of those two will win unless they have problems though. Less than two and a half hours to the start then - WOHOOOOOOO! |

It's looking pretty safe for the Audis at the moment I guess. I'm interested to see what the remaining Bentley can do - and also those impressive Chryslers. GO STEPHANE!!!

That Chrysler is 4th at the moment, and in 3rd place is the Courage Peugeot #17 of the Pescarolo team, with Sebastien Bourdais & Co.! Hope they finish on the podium! Go Sebastien!! (He was born in Le Mans, you know.)

Has the Audi definitely retired?
I am planning to watch Channel 4's live coverage which begins at 1.40am through to 5.35am. Does anyone have a caffeine introvenus drip handy??? |

The #3 Audi of Johnny Herbert & Co. has definitely retired. I saw it pull over at the side of the track, and the news is that it's out of the race, but so far no reason has been given (that I've been able to find out anyway).
If you step over to the party in the Gravel Trap, Wolf might give you a Coke. |

the champion audi had some sort of clutch/gearbox problem. if they had been able to get it around the circuit, they probably could've done the rear end change, but it couldn't, and theys could not even make some patchwork repairs to get it to the pits. SV.com speculates there is some problems with software the runs the tire pressure sensors recently put on the audi interfering with the software which controls the gearbox

I'm hoping Bentley. Something about that team makes me like them. Especially since Johnny's out.

Well, I must admit I've sneaked in a few hours sleep, not being able to receive live feed during the night. Now the #8 Bentley is 3rd, I hope they can at least hang on for a podium. The Courage Peugeot of Bourdais has dropped down the order, and is currently 7th.
