We don't need regulations to deal with this. If all of the Am drivers in GTWC, ELMS, Le Mans, NLS etc can deal with it, then so can the best drivers in the world (and Romain Grosjean).

Why isn't it relevant? The drivers at the back can't see what the leader is doing. They were coming up to the start/finish line and the lights were green.

It isn't relevant because the green starts at the start line. The leader controls the pack. The leader decided not to plant the throttle. If the green flags were relevant then you could overtake before the line too, but you can't.

The track is green at the start and finish line. Not at the point the back of the pack decided to go. They are meant to go with the cars in front - not anticipate the restart and make it up. Which is why we have rules against speeding up and slowing done.

Bottas did nothing wrong. The leader controls the pack. The pack decided to YOLO into itself.

But if everyone stayed at SC speed like they were meant to, then nobody would've been backed up. The onboard from Kimi is ridiculous - he was MILES off the back of the pack and full throttle out of the final corner.

Had Bottas went at the 'normal' time then Lewis would've dragged by him long before T1. Same as Baku.

Yeah, the back of the grid did think the front had gone. They, literally, made that up in their own heads and assumed it was green.

Not only was it a good idea, it's exactly what happens in F3 and F2, and it's what F1 did at Baku. And Jenson, Ant and Martin discussed it. Everyone expected that to happen...except the back of the grid.

Am drivers around the world cope with it. If F1 drivers are being stupid then slap the back of the grid and tell them to stop being stupid.
