I'm 99% I'll be there and with me will be 3 others 2 of which have posted on 10 tenths but not on a regular basis. That said they all read the forum.

It's true. Many people on here, me included book the time off as early as possible.

It's certainly a big fear for me going forward that I may be forced to miss the race due to work commitments. But they would have to be BIG commitments!

work is a poor excuse for non attendance. fwiw i have a big shipment (around 6 containers) to pack starting the monday after le mans. this will not stop me from going for as long as i possibly can get away with, which is 3 days. you make the experience fit your circumstances

sometimes you make sure the circumstances fit the experience, I managed to arrange my honeymoon 12 years ago so that when we came back home from it I could immediately travel to Le mans.

Birthday Treat = Trip to Le Mans.

We should start a thread on "most bizarre reasons not to come to Le Mans", in our group one chap come along a couple of times, enjoyed the trip down in his Caterham but really couldn't live with the severe hayfever he suffered in the campsite, so didn't come again.

It is the most important date in my calendar, so after each Le Mans I provisionally book my leave to cover the two possibilities for the race weekend. Fortunately for me, there are few others in my office that fight me for days off in June - they all want August. I take my summer leave in late September/early October!
