According to GP of Portland and PIR websites Champ Cars will be testing there May 1-2.

Yeah the first 3 events were good, but it will be nice to get out to a real road course and see these cars fly.
The new Euro drivers will be thinking the same me thinks. The likes of Doornbos, Jani shall be pretty quick |

And they did practice standing starts. The first of these video links shows a few that didn't go so well. The second one shows them getting it right, more or less.

It's the irony I'd be laughing about.
And hey, rain often makes for a better race, and would be a welcome change from the sweltering summer heat Portland has seen for the last couple years. |
