whoa, first impression on the new imsa logo really is: "nascar owned" (tm). anybody else get that impression?

..hmm and if the new logo and name really is the only thing they found they could show for as the thing that connects them? sounds a) realistic and b) a sad, reinforcing statement of a).

Don't think the IMSA logo needed changing but okay.

Shame they didn't apply some of that gloss to the USCR logo. Looks a bit amateur hour.

GTD = GT Diesel (see VW Golf)

Prototype is too long, and P is too short. I'd like to use Proto, ok?

I like that they kept the IMSA name. The updated logo is great: retro and modern in perfect combination. The black parts look odd, but green or blue would have made it too messy.

The logo is fine, but I'd do a couple of fixes. How about this?

Not very exciting. Name isn't special, classes aren't either. Good fortunes to this new series, hopefully it opens up in 'the future'.

Well, keeping the IMSA name wasn't unexpected, since Bill France Jr--Jim's older brother--was a co-founder of IMSA in 1973, almost 40 years ago.
