GTV27 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Ross - good on you for coming on-line and providing the info "from the horse's mouth" (if you'll excuse the analogy ).

Looking forward to seeing that entry list - particularly since you've started teasing about F1 drivers, any more hints?

Hi Ross,
its pitty more media cannot attend. We at In Pit Lane where hoping to follow the 944's that are heading up for the weekend as we have followed them all year on In Pit Lane here in Victoria.
I know this all relates to exclusivity contracts, it just seems a bit bizarre considering we will not be filming the track, only the pit area and the drivers in volved. We were all hoping to make our way up there and experience Bathurst how it should be, exotics racing at night. Oh well hopefully next year.

Good luck with the event, from what we heard about from last year the event was fantastic. Maybe next year ???

Dave

I've probably missed something somewhere, but wasn't TLA going to have an all star team made up of Ford drivers? Then why is Luke Youlden pictured with Andrew Smith at the opening of the new Brisbane Lamborghini Dealership in the Brisbane News?

In the same maga-journa-paper is the following WRT the weekend:
"King of the mountain
It's all very confusing, but I think the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 is the race that used to be known many years ago as the Bathurst 500..."

All star team certainly, but I don't know about Dorf drivers.

The line up he has is very interesting and will be blindingly fast if nothing else.

A few TBA's to be filled yet, but looks like a very strong field.

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Roosp1 the only way Holden can beat the Europeans is with an illegal car the Monaro in which you stupid PROCAR rules let in run. If it run under the proper rules the Europeans would eat it up for breakfest and pass it through b4 lunch.
Th Monaro is illegal bring it back to match the others, and then we might get to see the Lambo run around the Mount.

Oh great do we have to go through all this again!?!?

Nations Cup IS NOT A PRODUCTION CAR CLASS, it is GT Racing Australian style.

The Monaro is completeley within the rules of Group 1 Nations Cup.

Some people, including me, may not have liked the way in which it was enetered into the category but the fact is that its here to stay and within the rules!

It has provided a much needed boost to Nations Cups' profile.

Also look out for a new hybrid Turbo Porsche for next year.

Perhaps rossp1 can add more to what I have said.

I think the Monaro has added more public interest to Nations Cup with fans enjoying watching an Australian car do battle with the European & American Marques.

I am not sure on which judiciary TSR sits,[probably THE KANGAROO COURT]but the eligibility of all cars is something strictly policed by PROCAR TECHNICAL.
There is no question that the MONARO is legal according to our rules[and we make them],If TSR is looking at another set of rules then let him post them.
However I do think that he has just splurged out with the first idea that came into his head.
TSR read our rules before you engage your mouth.
As regards the new spec for 2004 Nations Cup Porsches ,PROCAR has developed an additional technical spec for eligibility to lower the costs for new entrants in that marque.
The GT3 RS is once again eligible, and the hybrid turbo 996 is an alternate option.
At least 3 or 4 cars are in construction, including one being built by Jim Richards.

TSR, if the Monaro is such a shocker why then is "emotional engineering"[UK] considering running one in the British GT series [GTO class aligned with Nations Cup].
The story is on ten-tenths in a sportscar and gt racing headlined Monaro for British GT or something like that.
Perhaps someone with better computer skills can help me out?

This was some time ago, earlier in the year, while Mr Rogers said he was yet to receive a deposit to start work building one....

Good on you for supporting your own event, with a number of vehicles entered under the "Ross Palmer Motorsport" banner. I somehow cant see TC putting his hand in his own pocket and entering cars... even if it were legal for him to do so

GTR magic. Thanx for your kind words.
The thread on the Monaro is current in Sportscar and GT racing ,with a thread titled "MONARO,S INTO BRITISH GT [merged]".
The last thread on 23rd.October suggests that "emotional racing "is entering the series in 2004 the post is from a John Reeves.
I only know one John Reeves a specialist race car and tuning outfit is headed by him in Melbourne, Victoria,Australia.
I will ring him and see if he can shed anymore light on the subject

The radio ads for the 24hr are fairly regular on Nova 969 in Sydney as well Here's hoping the crowd exceeds your expectations as well

All we can hope is that Holden doesnt sell off the "Yella Terra" as it is a piece of automotive history now

Maybe its a good think the Lambo isnt showing up... despite the recent parity adjustments with smaller air intake restrictors, Stokell is over 3 seconds quicker than the Monaros at Indy in first practice!

Amazing stuff.

I'd love to see the M3ALMS GTR's run and the 24hr I'd think they would be great to see in action and take out the race but sadly not on the entry list .Even the prodrive 550 Ferrari's well maybe next year .

Why don't they bring the Monaro back to 5.7 and save all the hasle . Just a thought

The TBA for PHR Scuderia will likely be an M3 GTR with a 4L engine aboard, so you will get your wish perhaps

It will likely be an ex-ALMS PTG car with a 5 Litre V8 engine in it (dont know out of which model though)

The Heini Mader 4 litre thing wouldnt have lasted the 24hr without a lot of babying (something they didnt do last year in the Faz.. )
