Emmanuele Pirro, former Touring car ace, has placed the Audi R8 he pilots with Frank Biela and Tom Kristensen on the provisional pole. More qualifying will run today. Talk about making the most of a new ride. Dyson Racing has also posted good times in their new Riley & Scott Mk IIIC (or is that an evolutionary model) placing 6th.

The time of the #3 vette was disallowed due to not meeting minum wieght requirement, giving the prov pole to the konrad saleen, who I think will really battle the vettes for the class win

I agree that the Saleen might give the Corvettes a good run for their money, but can it stay together for a full 12 hours? Even though I am a diehard Ford fan, I doubt it.
