¡As-de-mim! should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Schedule

Right now, the schedule is open from the middle of April to June 1st. Can CART afford to be off for that time?

I don't think so. They should stop bending over backwards for Tony George and start fighting back. Six weeks off, and only 2 races before June, is not excusable, although it could give new outfits time to prepare properly without missing too many races. My hope is that there will be the European races during May, the idea Pook has suggested. Brands, Spa and Estoril would certainly take attention from the 500, outside America at least

I think (hope) that will get filled in with a few races...

Pook has stated that he will not tinker with the schedule so as to allow teams to go to Indy. I'm sure that the teams will all be in Europe over those weeks.

As far as the long layoff at the beginning of the season, I agree that is is inexcusable. That's a problem that should have been rectified.

St. Petes on Feb. 23 was a horrible idea that's coming back to bite... should have just made it in late March early April... We'll gave 18 cars ready for St. Petes but it might not be pretty.

The gap is caused by the 3 dates that have yet to find circuits. Lausitz,Rockingham & Chicago have dropped out. Have patience, the European dates may soon be confirmed.

They desperatly need a round in Brazil or two early in the season... The crowd would be easily comparable to what they got in Mexico City if they held a race at Brasilia or the Rio road course.

Chicago has neither been officially confirmed nor officially dropped. CART is hoping to be in Europe during that time but if that does not pan out don't be surprised to see Chicago stay on the schedule as an alternative.

CART has said they will not be leaving a gap for the month of May so CART teams can attend the 500. The only date CART will leave free for ANY IRL event is the 500. Other than that, CART will not be doing the IRL any favours, and it's about bloody time too. TG is not looking for peace, he's looking for war.

What do the teams think about splitting their resources between Europe and Indy? Is it not a drama since most of the organisations doing both have 2 seperate teams within a team, or could it prove to be a drama? It's easy to say "let's shaft George", but all you are going is shafting your own teams..

CART is in the mess it is because they have always tried to please their teams. What did it get them - a very sorry rump!!

You're either in or out.

For the long term health of CART I wholeheartedly agree!
