Amazing Facts

I wanna hear some of your amazing facts about F1
I'll get the ball rolling ....More people have been into space than have driven F1 cars (apparently)

Number Juan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Squirells actually run F1, Bernie is like a puppet with several Squirells inside him controlling his every move - kinda like Men In Black.

Only one driver has finished on the podiums in 100% of their grand prix. Dorino Serafini at Monza, 1950, and as a result, it could be said that statistically, he's the most successful F1 driver ever!

According to Niki Lauda a monkey can drive current F1 cars, that of course was just before he spun a number of times A monkey must be better than the rat then, we could have a Monkey win world championships!!!

"Although it's every engineers dream to make a car that good and easy to drive that a monkey could do the job, unfortunately a monkey can not win a WDC.

Ermm ... wait a minute, actually there has been one occasion where a monkey could have won the WDC, the '92 Williams"

(live quote from a 1996 lecture of a french professor employed by several teams throughout his career; today he'd probably be even more convinced of a monkey's chances at the WDC in the F2002 )

I doubt it, 600 people have raced in Formula 1 ever, and of course, perhaps 100-200 more have tested but not raced, then there are the 100's of people who race in Classic GP races, also, dont forgot the 'drive and F1 car' adventures available now. I think it's wrong
Hehe.

A serious record/fact. Most consecutive pole positions - Ayrton Senna - 8.

McLaren made a car that a monkey could drive for the 93 season but it was by then illegal

Does 'muppets in space' count??
That space thing was true a few about 2 years ago- maybe there has been a shortage of astronouts since then

You got that from the Muppet Show? You should rely on more accurate sources of information, like the Bob the Builder show.

It is easier to get a meaningful quote on a Formula One matter from any muppet than from any Finn.

Ron Dennis has been into space more often than his drivers have given informative press conferences.

TGF has a better chance of being shot into space than of convincing me that he is the equal of Fangio.

Actually a gorilla did once race in Formula One. He won one race and crashed into the Armco on the Victory Lap.

Hence, a gorilla has won more Formula One races than 3/4 of the current WWF1 grid.
