because there is a huge performance difference between 1A and 1B tyres the classes are now split depending on both engine size and tyre type 032r's are 1B tyres so you would go in class T3 T3 Upto 2000cc 1A upto 1600cc 1B upto 1600cc forced induction 1A |

They have a similiar rule in classic thunder, run 1a or 1b and drop a class which panned out nice for me as I actually won me class at Brands!

T2 Unlimited CC 1A Over 1601cc forced induction 1A upto 2000cc 1B there you go alan. a good few years ago when we ran road going classes in DTR the smaller engined 1B cars would usually beat the bigger engined 1A cars, although the bigger engined 1A cars did have bto have an interior, so it shoul dbe pretty even in tin tops |

So can someone fit an aftermarket turbo or supercharger in Tin Tops as well?

yes Al, but RWD cars have to run a manditary 32mm inlet restricter, 4wd is banned, and fwd really would struggle to put down big turbo power so it should all be quite even

this thread is supposed to be about DTRC but seeing as a lot of you want to talk tin tops here the basic class structure
Class Engine option Tyre option T1 unlimited CC 1B over 1601 forced induction 1B T2 Unlimited CC 1A Over 1601cc forced induction 1A upto 2000cc 1B T3 Upto 2000cc 1A upto 1600cc 1B upto 1600cc forced induction 1A T4 upto 1600cc 1A upto 1300cc 1B T4 upto 1300cc 1A Any car fitted with a non original engine to make and model shall be moved up a class in terms of engine capacity, most of the regs are common to DTRC but, NO Spaceframes, Steel bodied cars only, no 4WD, no Sequential gearboxes, maximum of 6 cylinder engines Last edited by graham bahr; 14 Dec 2006 at 08:39. |

Graham, why differentiate between list 1a and 1b tyres on the classes.
It just looks like it's getting complicated before it starts and a fair bit of policing will be needed to stop rule bending. I.E you could start a day on list 1a dry tyres and finish on list 1b wets or vice versa. What happens to the classes then? |

because if you didnt differenciate between tyres you would either need twice as many classes or those on 1A tyres would be totally uncompetitive,
to behonest tim tyres are one of the easiest things to police, unlike engines etc, just by looking at the sidewall you know exactly what they are, i cant see that much tyre swapping between types going on because its so easy to spot, if i driver wishes to swap tyre type they could simply be reclassed of classified, dont forget though its not a championship, its a series of races aimed and novices, occasional drivers or simply those who find DTRC TOO competitive |

I'm sure somebody was asking if the tin-tops round at Rockingham was supporting the SCSA and pick-ups, well it would appear so!

Can anyone post a draft calendar for the BARC-SE Tin Tops, just to give us all an idea what's planned.

Hi, i'm looking to race my fiesta again in 2007 - have previously raced in the BRSCC Ford Saloons but that now looks very expensive and for 2007 is all double headers in wales it seems! I'd thought about the BARC TRC's but my car's pretty much standard now and I suspect would be eaten alive by some of the machinery. I've heard talk of a Tin Tops championship but can't find any info or regs on the BARC website and Rod Birley's website has only some dates.
Any pointers folks? |

There's also the CSCC TinTops Dom, which you may be getting confused with.
