Sensible solution, moving the barriers away from the trees means the iconic treeline can remain but safety is improved.

I hope there won't be one.
Even though street races are the races I dread the most to be marshaling on, I like the fact that over-the-limit drivers are punished for pushing too hard.
The loss of the close barrier Arnage corner still haunts me...

Why?
The extra pillars from the debris fence would only further the damage to the cars and perhaps the driver. That is if the fence pillars are strong enough to keep the armco in place when hit.

If the car is THAT far in the air, you NEED that fence to give, and posts to bend...
Think Rocky down at Indy. Destroyed 100 metres of fence, but walked away. Just 1 tree could have changed that story.

"The plan for race week (and the test day) is for a double layer of tyres to be placed in front of the armco"
