DNQ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who Will Be Rookie of the Year?

1 Sebastien Bourdais (R) 53 27 26
2 Mario Haberfeld (R) 36 30 6
3 Darren Manning (R) 34 14 20
4 Tiago Monteiro (R) 15 12 3
5 Ryan Hunter-Reay (R) 10 8 2
6 Patrick Lemarie (R) 8 8 0
7 Joel Camathias (R) 6 6 0
8 Rodolfo Lavin (R) 4 0 4
9 Alex Yoong (R) 4 4 0

That's the standings so far...who can follow in the steps of Mario Dominguez, last years Rookie of the Year!

Looks like Bourdais might not be the dominant rookie like we expected, but of course DNF's haven't helped his cause. I think it's gonna be Sebastien in the end, with Haberfeld and Manning all the way to the wire.

As for the others, it depends how their cars/skills improve. Lavin, Boss, Camathias, Lemarie and Yoong are obviously out of the running with poor machinery/skill/no drive, and I think RHR will struggle with the ASTJ Reynard...

My tip:

1. Bourdais
2. Manning
3. Haberfeld
4. Monteiro
5. Hunter-Reay

Clearly, Bourdais is the favorite, and there's little question about the liklihood of him being able to take it. Although Manning has looked very strong, I think Haberfeld will finish well ahead of him.

I'll have to agree with DNQ with his standings... Obviously Bourdais should win it as he has the best car...and unfortunately Ryan Hunter-Reay and Darren Manning have the Reynards to deal with....

As Jay did, I second DNQ's tip for the final Rooking of the Year standings.

And I still believe that Manning will win a race this season.

Hopefully no one will follow in Dominguez's footsteps and have ROTY handed to them on a big silver platter.

I think Bourdais will nab it, but he will be pushed all the way be Haberfeld and Manning. They are coming on in leaps and bounds.

Bourdais really looks to be the best of the rookies. Haberfeld has been impressive with some good results, but often in races where the car let Manning down. So I think Darren will take second ahead of him. Montiero and Hunter-Reay are the only others who are in contention, but Tiago's team seems much more organised and capable, which I think will make the difference.

Boudais is the best rookie based on talent. Throw in the car and it's no contest. He's had some hideous luck & rookie problems early on which have nuked his points. I would not count him out for the championship.

A more interesting question is who will be #2, Haberfeld or Manning?

Bourdais will actually earn it this year.

Toss up between Manning and Haberfeld as Darren is probably the better driver but Mario has the better team.
