I think that one was more down to two cars needing a lift from the same place. It's never been particularly quick lifting them.

Well two good races so far, but must admit it is hard missing my first BTCC race at brands in almost 10 years,

R3 should be interesting, Moffat, Goff and Gornall top 3, neither of which you would've put money on for a podium so far this season. Jelley in P4 has a good chance, probably him and Oliphant on for a podium I reckon.

I think it would be a nice tribute if they let a random member of the orange army make the draw each meeting.

I reckon Moffat will be lucky to be in top 3 by the end of the first lap.

Those lifting brackets don't really seem to make things quick... although it does reduce dragging and further damaging cars.

So far really impressed by Rory Butcher, Oli Jackson and the new Motorbase Focus. Looks like a very well engineered car.

I'm even impressed by Andy Neate - not making mistakes and not too shabby timewise either. Good to see Nic Hamilton beating other drivers on merit too.

Turks doing better than I imagined at Brands.

What on earth has gone so badly wrong with the FK8?

And can somebody please buy Jake an engine not built by a monkey? He'd be better off if he'd stayed in the old Audi!

Fine idea. A couple of minutes of fame in front of the camera, promote marshalling...

Think he, Goff and Proctor will be overdriving a bit to try and get a good result which could be... interesting.

Both use the Toca engine. Jiggy had an engine change last week too.

Proctor might be ok, he seems to have been having a better weekend than Smiley. He may not finish on the podium, but he should be ok for a top 10. Goff and Moffat will only get good results if others crash out, blow an engine or a tyre.

Swap them with the Porsches, which seems to be lacking some 'pros' this season.

Anybody got a link to how the lifting hooks work/ are setup? i caught a glimpse of them preparing for the lift on the TV coverage and the marshal looked like they were screwing a towing eye into the cage from inside the car with the eye pointing into the cabin.

that's about right, bolt has to be inserted through roof and then giant wing nut screwed on from inside.

What has changed with the Swindon engines? They’re normally pretty bullet proof.

I would guess as they've lost the engine supply deal to msport, that their standards may not be as high as previous seasons.
